Meadow View Apartments, an 86-unit housing project for the elderly and disabled, in Ellsworth, is in need of a Maintenance Technician to assist in the efficient mechanical operation of the multi-building complex.
The Maintenance Tech shall be skilled in the use of hand and power tools; with a good working knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical circuitry, and plumbing. This person should also be skilled in the use and maintenance of all power equipment; have a working knowledge of lawn care and snow removal equipment; and, be able to lift 50 pounds.
The Maintenance Tech should possess good communication skills, and be comfortable working with Tenants and fellow staff members. This position is a 40-hour work week (Mon – Fri), including scheduled on call with a stipend, and will require occasional overtime, especially during winter months and in cases of emergency. The successful Candidate must undergo a complete physical exam (including drug testing), as well as a routine criminal background check.
